Songwriting was the missing link to discovering her true voice as an artist. Sonnet has placed songs in such campaigns as Overstock.com, Coca-Cola, Lee Jean, and more…  She garnered the love of America as a top contestant on ABC’s Rising Star.  She captivates her audience with her soulful, unworldly voice and clever thought-provoking lyrics. Sonnet has been seen and heard singing at the Hollywood Bowl and Los Angeles Disney Concert Hall with Kamasi Washington and Miles Mosley.

For Woman’s International day I would like to in For Woman’s International day I would like to introduce to you someone I met through a music licensing / song writing class from the folks that recently started @syncitmusic Her name is @tanjautunen She is originally from Tampere, Finland and now lives in Los Angeles. She is a female producer and she is my friend. We check in with each other on how our musical projects are going and hold each other accountable with our daily goals. Tanja has a dream… “That we live in a world where female producers account for at least 50% of all music producers working in the music industry” (today we are at less than 3%) Tanja’s dream is not only about female producers coming forward with their talents… but I feel this dream is about all women that are showing up everyday with their talents and wisdom.
